Classification evidence
- Relevance class: Direct AI relevance · European Commission · English MAIN, PDF p.1 (title), p.6 (Article 1). — The decision requests harmonised standards for high-risk AI systems in support of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689.
- Sector tags: General cross sector · European Commission · English MAIN, PDF pp.2-4 (recitals 3 and 10-14), p.6 (Article 1). — The request concerns horizontal requirements for high-risk AI systems. Research assessment
- Inclusion rationale
- Verified official English text within the AI Act implementation and amendment corpus.
- Researcher notes
- Expanded evidence review update, 6 September 2026: fresh authentic English, French and German texts and the Commission register confirm C(2025)3871 dated 23 June 2025. The register transmission timestamp, 27 June 2025, is not explicitly public release. CEN/CENELEC's November 2025 Technical Board newsletter corroborates Commission issue on 23 June and technical-board decisions applicable from 2 July; these are process dates, not publication evidence, and the CEN host is outside the active official-EU source predicate. No qualifying exact-day public manifestation has been established. The legacy publication date remains unverified; the record retains its expanded-review hold. Article 5's anomalous identifier is preserved without silent correction. Original-text evidence supplemented on 8 September 2026: all seven pages of the English MAIN were inspected. The decision date, Commission authorship, AI Act relevance and existing classifications now have pinpoint evidence. The publication-date qualification and earlier review credit remain unchanged; this supplement is not an independent human re-review. Article 5 refers to C(2019)4281 in its version of 22 May 2023; that source wording is not silently corrected.
